The Sword reports that "Livestock Jesus" won this year's Hunky Jesus contest at the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence 30th Anniversary Easter celebration. But we think they just wanted an excuse to post more photos of hot guys with their shirts off. We were there dammit. And although we tweeted about the sheep walking down the hill at Dolores park, we swear to your deity of choice that "Brokeback Jesus" was crowned the winner. Caveat: We were standing kinda far back in the throng and had also had a wee Mary or two to drink.

We heard something about a game being on TV tonight. Apparently women's collegiate basketball is really popular with the girls. So, we decided to run an experiment and twitter our observations. We don't know much about basketball but we do know a great deal about women. Good times.

Project Reveal Launch Party & EHarmony is gay gay gay!

We love a good social network party launch, don't you?

Our new friends on Twitter, Project Reveal, are having their SF launch party on Monday, April 20 @ Project One in Potrero. DJ Samala will be spinning tunes starting @ 5pm!

Billing themselves as "the smart social network for lesbians" the Boston-based Project Reveal has fabulous potential! We're looking forward to the meet & greet!

In other social news, did you hear that E-Harmony has opened loving arms to facilitate some old fashioned gay lovin'? Yesterday, they announced a service called Compatible Partners. Planet Out reports:

Like the EHarmony site for heteros, Compatible Partners is for singles seeking "meaningful long-term relationships" and requires participants to fill out a lengthy questionnaire revealing their values, attitudes, personality traits and interests, which the service then uses to deliver matches.

Hmm, is this something we will embrace? There's Craigslist & there's CurveMag's dating site...but are ready to seriously considering dating online? Isn't that what our pretty friends are for? ;)

the season's inaugural Mango & the season of the gala begins

YESSS! If we were a Saturday afternoon, we'd be Mango...or potentially, Bananas, which is obviously the more sensitive fruit ;) What a glorious day to play in the perfect courtyard of El Rio!

The sun helped our pre-gala glow, as Saturday evening we joined our family @ the Soiree 7 gala for the LGBT Center @ SOMA's Terra Gallery. Highlights included a fabulous convo with the amazing Dustin Lance Black, Oscar winning screenwriter for "Milk", performances by Boylesque & Juanita MORE and the most amazing fried macaroni & cheese cubes by Andalu! Congrats to the Center for a fantastic showing and a successful partay ;) Let's the party season begin...

Last night we saw Miss Higgins perform her final show of her North American tour @ the legendary Fillmore. We only caught the last song of her opener, Justin Nozuka but were pleased as punch that she introduced us to Lenka, the 2nd most adorable Australian we've ever seen :) Lenka's new album, 'The Show' is part Ingrid Michaelson, part Lily Allen and part block party fun! We're putting the album on repeat and can't stop singing the quirky lyrics of the title track, 'I want my money back/just enjoy the show'!

Beware the Ides of March

LezSanFran chooses to launch on the eve of a huge weekend! Who knew that the ides of March could produce such a malstorm of queer girl activity? Someone said something about all the lezzers coming out of their winter hibernation and we giggled.

Our agenda:

Friday Night
Who: The Girls. After work.
What: Cruise by a few homo happy hours. The bat signal went out yesterday.
Where: First stop new Castro haunt with back deck. Second stop, old Castro favorite – Chez Ballz or something about a meeting in someone's living room. Hint: the mascot is a dancing Penguin in a softball uniform. Oh why do we do this to ourselves?

These good times are merely a precursor to the main event.

Saturday
2 PM
Who: Our favorite Lez Radio DJ, Caroline "one two three" Thompson, will host the muy talented, muy local Lez guitar hero Alden Schell & freelance journalist Brooke Biggs
What: The Broken Record Party Radio Show. After Brooke’s discussion on crazy history of the US Prison, we’ll be listening to Alden strum live from the Pirate Cat cafe. She hails from the Carolinas, so she has some cred. And you thought folk music was dead.
Where: Pirate Cat Radio. 87.9FM SF & LA, or on PirateCatRadio.com.
Tune-in, dammit! Or better yet, get your booty down to the Pirate Cat Cafe.

6 PM
Who: A rock star, her yoga pants gal pal, and their closest friends.
What: A wedding reception, finally. Don't worry folks, they wedded blissfully in a hot air balloon over wine country before Prop 8 took the fun out of lez-nesting.
Where: Classified. But we promise to post photos.

10 PM
Who: 623 Lez B Anns and other insidious approved EO&C friends
What: Annual warehouse birthday party
Where: Not @ her warehouse this year
Dirty Kurty & Miz Cari Campbell will be spinning late into the evening, but beware the ides of March -- cabs are hard to get in SOMA at 2 AM. And we tried the walk back to the Castro once…our Loubs & our conscience wouldn’t recommend it.
